How to Decide Where to Start

Taiji and Qigong are often mentioned together and are many principles,  but they have different histories, technical requirements, and scope of application.

Qigong is often simpler to start with. It uses harmonisation of  movement,  breath, and attention to support relaxation, energy, balance, and internal awareness.

Taiji is usually more structured. Clearer technical requirements develop coordination, balance, patience, and focus through a flowing sequence of movements.

Both can be valuable. The question is where to start.

“I have enjoyed working with Michael in qigong, Taiji and other martial arts, and related disciplines for many years.  He has a solid grounding in basics and advanced practices, teaches clearly and supportively, and communicates these concepts and practices very well.  Highly recommended!
